OUR

MISSION

for 2018

JANUARY - REVIVED THROUGH REJOICING

Proper worship stirs the heart of man, and invokes the work of God.  Acts 16:25-26; Psalm 22; Psalm 63:3-4

FEBRUARY - REVIVED THROUGH REACHING OUT

Reaching others is a fruit of a revived heart.  It is our faith in action.  We will not have a passion for others until we first have a passion for Christ.  Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8

MARCH - REVIVED THROUGH BEING REFRESHED

The Word of God is where we draw strength, renewal, refreshing, encouragement, power, cleansing, etc.  Focusing on Christ's work on our behalf, humbles us and allows us to trust Him with our struggles.  Psalm 19; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 23

APRIL - REVIVED THROUGH THE RESURRECTION

"And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain."  Our hope is based upon the fact that Christ is alive!  No matter what our struggle, if God can raise up Jesus, he can meet our smallest need.  There is hope!  1 Corinthians 15; Philippians 3; John 11:25; John 14:19

MAY - REVIVED THROUGH RECOMMITMENT

Faithfulness to the Will of God, Ways of God and Works of God are essential to a blessed life and spiritual contentment and fulfillment.  Proverbs 3:5-6

JUNE - REVIVED THROUGH REJECTING THE WORLD

It is very difficult to live a vibrant spiritual life if we are spiritually dirty.  This world is constantly striving to stain our testimony.  There is a hindered relationship with Christ when we do not strive to live holy lives.  John 17:11; 1 Peter 1:16

JULY - REVIVED THROUGH RESTING IN HIM

Being still is one of the most difficult things when we would rather fix things and solve our own problems, but the Scripture reminds us that our strength is renewed when we wait on the Lord.  Isaiah 40:31; Psalm 27:14; Psalm 46:10

AUGUST - REVIVED THROUGH RESTORATION

Restoring implies repairing something that is broken or worn down.  We will look at Biblical restoration, of both areas in our personal lives and the importance of restoring others.  Galatians 6:1; Revelation 21:5

SEPTEMBER - REVIVED THROUGH REFOCUSING

Where we are focused determines where we are headed.  Summer has ended and many ministries are restarting.  It is a good time to be sure we are reminded of Who we are serving and get our eyes firmly focused on Him.  Ephesians 3:21; Colossians 1:18

OCTOBER - REVIVED THROUGH RELATIONSHIPS

October is Thanksgiving, with a special emphasis on our relationships.  A personal relationship with Christ revives the spirit.  James reminds us to "draw night to God, and He will draw nigh to you."  John reminds us that our relationship with one another is also a source of fellowship and refreshing.  James 4:8; 1 John 3

NOVEMBER - REVIVED THROUGH REMEMBERING

Remembrance Day falls in November, but more importantly we are called to remember the work that God has done in our lives.  The Apostle Paul reminds us that it is important that we "keep in memory which I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain."  1 Corinthians 15:2; Psalm 77:6; Psalm 97:2

DECEMBER - REVIVED THROUGH RENEWAL

We are new creatures in Christ!  This earthly struggle tends to get us off track and we need to sometimes be renewed.  The birth of Christ offers us hope as he came to "save His people from their sins."  Matthew 1:21; Lamentations 5:21
